Privacy Policy
Effective September 27, 2026
This policy applies to the Carrier Ops app on iOS and Android (the "Game") and to carrieropsgame.com.
1. Who we are
The Game is published by undeuxtrois studio, LLC ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at contact@carrieropsgame.com.
2. Information we collect
The Game has no sign-up screen and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
Collected automatically
- Gameplay analytics: events such as a level started, won or lost, stars earned, power-ups used, screens viewed and session length. These events contain no free text or personal details.
- A random player ID: an anonymous identifier created on first launch, used to keep your progress and to tie analytics events together. It is not linked to your real name.
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, country or region, and time zone.
- Crash and diagnostic data, used to find and fix bugs.
- Saved progress: your levels, stars, gems and settings, stored on your device and backed up to our cloud save so it survives a reinstall.
- Advertising identifier: our ad partners may read your device's advertising identifier (Apple IDFA, only if you allow tracking; Google Advertising ID on Android) to show, measure and cap ads and to prevent fraud.
Collected when you buy something
Purchases are paid through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your card or bank details. We receive a purchase receipt (product, price, date, transaction ID) to deliver the item and restore it later.
Collected when you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and use it only to answer you.
3. How we use information
- To run the Game, save and restore your progress, and deliver purchases.
- To understand which levels are too hard or too easy and improve balance, using aggregated analytics.
- To tune game settings remotely without an app update.
- To find and fix crashes and bugs.
- To show ads, including rewarded ads you choose to watch, and to measure them.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases are performing our contract with you (running the Game and delivering purchases), our legitimate interests (analytics, security, bug fixing), and your consent (personalised advertising and tracking).
We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing an advertising identifier with ad partners may count as "sharing" or "selling" under some US state laws; see section 5 for how to opt out.
4. Third-party services
The Game uses the services below. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
- Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies): analytics, anonymous sign-in, cloud save and remote settings. Data: player ID, gameplay events, device information, saved progress. Privacy policy.
- Unity LevelPlay (Unity Technologies): ad mediation, which chooses the ad network that serves each ad. Data: advertising ID, device information, IP address, ad interactions. Privacy policy.
- Unity Ads (Unity Technologies): the ad network that serves ads through LevelPlay. Data: advertising ID, device information, IP address, ad interactions. Privacy policy. If we add another ad network, we will list it here.
- RevenueCat: validates and restores in-app purchases. Data: player ID, purchase receipts. Privacy policy.
- Apple and Google: app distribution, payments, and optional Game Center or Google Play Games sign-in, governed by your Apple or Google account. Apple, Google.
5. Advertising and your choices
- iOS tracking prompt: on iPhone and iPad the Game asks before any tracking across other companies' apps. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", your IDFA is not shared. You can change this any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Consent in the Game: where required (for example in the EU, UK and some US states), the Game asks for your consent to personalised ads. Your answer is passed to our ad partners.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings > Privacy > Ads (Settings > Google > Ads on older versions).
- Analytics: turn off ANALYTICS in the Game's SETTINGS screen and the Game stops sending gameplay analytics. Your progress and purchases keep working.
If you decline personalised ads, you still see ads, but they are not personalised.
6. Children's privacy
The Game is intended for a general audience. It is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age that applies where you live (such as 16 in some EU countries). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age, in line with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the GDPR.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the Game and provided information, contact us at contact@carrieropsgame.com and we will delete it, as described in section 9.
7. Data retention
- Gameplay analytics: raw events are kept for up to 13 months, then deleted. Aggregated statistics that identify no one may be kept longer.
- Local save: stays on your device until you uninstall the Game.
- Cloud save and player ID: kept while the Game is in use, and deleted on request (section 9) or after 24 months without activity.
- Purchase records: kept as long as needed to restore purchases and as tax and accounting law requires.
- Support emails: kept for up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and California and other US state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To use any of them, email contact@carrieropsgame.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. How to delete your data
The Game has no login, so we find your data through details about your device. We delete your player ID, cloud save and linked analytics data within 30 days of your request.
- Email contact@carrieropsgame.com with the subject line "Data deletion request".
- Include your platform (iOS or Android), device model, the approximate date you installed the Game, the date you last played, and your highest level reached. For purchases, include a store receipt or order ID if you have one.
- We may reply with a short question to confirm the data is yours. We use your answer only to find and delete your records.
- We delete your player ID, cloud save and the analytics linked to it, and confirm by email. Purchase records we must keep by law are kept only for that purpose.
- Uninstall the Game to remove the save on your device. To limit ad data, reset your advertising ID (section 5).
Deleting your data resets your progress. Purchases tied to your Apple or Google account can still be restored from the store.
10. Security and international transfers
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that use industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries; where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Game changes. We will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will give notice in the Game or on this page.
